Scones
Making and Sharing Reflection
Making: Make a step by step plan for production: before the actual cooking day we come in and grab a recipe then we will most likely watch a video of what we are making then start to fill out the recipe sheet. After we mostly finish filling out the sheet we watch the demo. While watching the demo we finish filling out the sheet. The next day is the cooking day and we reread the recipe and start getting ready for cooking it. After talking to our partner we get all the necessary items and tools in order to make the scones. then we get to cooking. After making the batter we put them in the oven and after a couple minutes we pulled them out. Sharing: Decide on how and with whom to share prepared food products: For the scones with a partner we made four scones in total but we each got 2 and it really was up to us if we were to share the scones. We individually got two each. It was really up to us making the decision of sharing one of them or eating them both. But most of us wanted our family or friends to try these declivous scones so we saved them.
Core competency reflection
As an active listener, I notice that I pay attention and watch what ever I’m doing carefully and ask questions when I need to. I also notice that do better when I listen more closely, and when I am an active listener I also can help other people with the things that they missed information wise. When I listen and watch I gain and retain more information and I also notice that if I don’t actively listen I miss out on important information that I might need now or later. One way i make sure my group in clear on the common purpose is to ask them questions and sort of quiz them for what we are doing, and to ask them what the common purpose of the lap is. I also ask them lots of questions and I tell them that they can ask me anything if they forget anything.
