appreciate feedback on my bwork in the form of constructive feedback, the reason that is because I like to hear other people’s thoughts and see what I could’ve done better since they are a fresh pair of eyes they can give really good feedback and or advice to me for my next project. Having/getting constructive feedback tends to help a lot, it gives you something to do better on and I take it into consideration when working on my project. When I’m stuck on what to do the feedback can realy give me a boost on what to do.
A tritration is process where we use a concetrate of a known solution to determian the concetration of an unknown solution. The titration used for this certian lab is to use the data found while doing the tirtation to calculate the molarity of the hydrochloric acid. An endpoint of the tritation is where it is a solid bright colour, the equivelnce point is the middle ground where the colour is light. Once the endpoint as been achieved the colour change is permanent. The results of my tritaton were 0.11ml for all the intial volumes of NaOH, the final volume was 12.46ml for trail 2 and 12.45ml for trail 3. We uses 12.35ml of NaOH in trial 2 and 12.34ml NaOH trail 3. The average volume of NaOH achieved was 12.45ml. I calculated the molarity of HCl by figuring out the moles of NaOH then the intial moles of HCl, which gave me the molarity of 0.1245 HCl.
Core Competency Reflection
I can use evidence to make judgements or decisions evidence of the lab that we did. The notes I took in class help me accomplish my end results in the titration and allowed to to make decisions on whether or not I was getting closed to the end of tghe tritration or just making sure I had all the correct volumes meausred out. Critical thinking was a big part of this lab and so was collabration because we were working in two’s, this lab was also very tedious to do and needed patience.
I can work with others to achieve a goal. I show that I value feedback from others in my group by asking them what they think and what we could to improve on. Working with others to achieve a goal in the group is easier then trying to complete by yourself because have the extra help and being able to ask them questions and just bounce idea’s off of one another helps to achieve the goal faster. knowing feedbback from the other people in your group is neccesary and helps get the groupwork or project done faster, everyone in a group has a voice weither they use it or not i think everyone would acomplish more if everyone used their voice for this project me and my friend wdid a bouncing ball lab basically dropping a bouncy ball from different hights and we callobrated our ideas and if somthing didn’t go right we talked to eachother about it and figured it out and that helpped us get the best mark possible because we did everything to the best of our abilitys
i use evidence to make judgements or decisions as demonstarted in this artifact i chose. this was a project where i had to think about what i needed to add and what i already had. I also had to do calculations in this and show how i did them which is my evidence to make the judgements of the answer. I can contribute to and work with criteria to imporve on my own work, i always take the criteria into consideration when im doing the assignments so i know what is being asked of me for this project i have read over the criteria and am using the critera to help me do it so i can get the best marks possible I remain open minded as i explore viable options or alternative approaches like when I get stuck I tend to think of all the possible answers to the one question and try and see if i can do it but if i cant i take a step back and try and look at it differently to see if i can get the correct answer that way. One of the main goals I’m working on acedemically is asking help when i need it and know when im struggling so i can get help my support network is helpful to me because they know when I need help and are very open to helping me even if the problem is simple. to achieve this goal will identify when i need help and ask for it instead of just sitting quietly and pondering the question.
The artifact that I chose is a reflection I did for a black and white silhouette project. I can reflect on my work and experiences and tell others about something I’ve learned, in the reflection I was able to talk about what I learnt doing this project and during the lessons, and I also reflected on my own work by saying what worked out while I was taking the photo and the planning for it and what I wish I did differently for taking the photograph. I was able to also share my experience taking the photo and all the problems I did run into and how I solved them to get the photo I needed. I also reflected on the photoshop portion of the project in the reflection.
My first goal is to act on feedback that I have recived from my teachers to further my understanding, make my grades better and I will try to communicate to my teachers a helpful form of feedback so I can be successful in their classes. I also need to ask for feedback more often in all of my classes to know where I am and if I need to make more of an understanding on the assignment.
My second goal is to recognize my emotionswhen im struggling in class and ask for help to find strategies to regulate them because I tend to lose my focus in class easily and have a hard time regaining it, I also tend to get frustrated with my work once I dont understand it which causes me not want to do it but all I need to do is ask for help to get back on track.
My third and final goal is to continue supporting my friends and other people around me. I always support my friends and my peers when they need it, if thats when they are struggling with something or are making decisions thats what I’m here for to support them in all the ways I possibly can and I want to continue doing that.
I make digital ethical choices such as keeping certain things private in order to keep myself and other people around me safe. Some of the ways I work to build and maintain online relationships are keeping in contact and not sharing certain information with them until I fully trust them and that i feel safe and supported by them, which also means i support and trust them. but I let them know that my respect is earned and not just given straight away. By posting positive videos and quotes online, I make a positive difference to my peers and hope to make their day better.
The artifact I chose was from one of the days we did group work it ties into communication. the reason it ties in is because we had to come up with ideas with our group that we were put into and we shared each others ideas with one another. we ended up agreeing on some of the ideas and we put it into the section we were working on and answering the question as well. I think I grew in communication by listing to others ideas and explaining my own ideas to the best of my abilities, I responded nicely and considerate of their emotions and how they would feel. I shared and presented my ideas about the question “What kind of impression of the residential school does this minute leave?” to my group and making sure they understood what I was trying to get across. I could improve on being more open to others ideas and my own and putting the information I was trying to share out into simpler terms not to confuse anyone who im trying to explain to.
