Justification

MONDAY

I chose homemade pepperoni pizza for their family dinner on Monday night because as a parent, it’s a simple and loveable dish. Parent B would arrive home around 5:30pm and start cooking around 6pm so they’ll be able to have a 30-minute break to rest before preparing dinner. The pizza would be ready for 6:30 and Parent A leaves for an evening activity at 8pm. In that logic, they would have 1 hour, 15 minutes to all eat dinner together as a family which means they wouldn’t be rushed.

TUESDAY

I chose macaroni and cheese as their family dish for Tuesday because Parent A had enough time to make a long enjoyable dish since they get home from work at 5pm. The dish takes 55 minutes to make so Parent A can start at 5:30pm and finish at 6:25pm which is good for all of their schedules. Their schedule on Tuesdays is not crazy so they all have enough time to sit down and eat together as a family.

WEDNESDAY

I picked walking tacos as the family dish for Wednesday night because it was quick, simple and easy. It said that teen 2 only cooks simple meals unless with a parent, so I gave them something simple but if they need help the parents are home to lend a hand. All they must do is cook the meat and cut some veggies.

THURSDAY & FRIDAY

I picked a steak meal for the family dinner on Thursday night. I will start cooking at 4:15, the meal should take about an hour and should be ready at 6:45. I decided to double the recipe and use the leftovers to make a stir fry for dinner tomorrow on the Friday night.

Collaboration Reflection

  • My group and I started off our communication from our teams chat where we split the days up to make it even. After we were all assigned our days We started getting ideas on what meal we should plan for the days of the week. After that Kelsey and I ended up getting moved closer to our groups so we brainstormed around together, asked questions and worked on it together. After we were done our word document we all went our own ways into our Edu blogs.
  • The way my group used technology is we all just used our own computers and there weren’t many issues that we ran into but one issue I ran into was a problem with my links. Whenever I would put a link it would put a picture with it which was frustrating. I fixed it after a while but that seemed to be the only issue for me.
  • We first started our ideas in our teams chat after introducing ourselves and a food fact. Kelsey then gave an idea about splitting up the days and making it even so we all have our own tasks to do. We all ended up agreeing and sent what day we wanted to do. The next day Kelsey and I got moved closer to our groups tables so we ended out verbally saying our ideas and stopped the teams chat. Catie gave us and idea about doubling the recipe so some people did that.
  • One specific task I completed was The Tuesday column. I ended up picking Tuesday and making Parent A cook dinner because it made most sense in my opinion. I also put a solution with that and fixed up a couple things. I gave some ideas to my groupmates and then when the word document was completed I moved to my Edu blog post.

Self assessment- Collaboration & Critical thinking

  • Some things I think about before dividing tasks among my group members include is how it will work because I have to have a plan about it before giving the idea to my group members
  • I know my group is working well together when we were all giving our ideas, asking each other for help, and giving other ideas on their own work. My group was working really well together and we ran into No issues with each other.
  • I can contribute and work with the criteria to show my own work by Putting things in my own words, using my own ideas and asking questions to the teacher to see if I’m on the right track.
  • I remain open-minded by putting others ideas into consideration and maybe combing my idea and there together to make and even better one.
