Reflection 1 – うらない

I don’t really believe in horoscopes and all that, but I can see why people would be interested in it. The fun in seeing what your personality is from a few sentences that have vague terms that could apply to anyone is mind opening (to some people). The idea that your personality was decide the second you were born is something that doesn’t make sense. Your personality is fusion between the people you hang out with and people you want to be like in the future. So to say that somewhere in the infinite cosmos, there is some sort of being that gave us our personality is not that probable.

Reflection 4 – Supaidaman

I believe that the future generation won’t be exposed to this but the parents of that generation will show them the beauty of the olden days. Of course if I have a child I will show them the memes and culture of my time and that (of course) will make all the people around them think they are weird. I do hope that for the future generation will carry on the memes of the past.

R2 – ようかい

There are many different yo-kai in Japan and I decided to chose Kappa as my yo-kai since it is a yo-kai I know best. Kappa’s are know for being turtle like creatures that have the ability to walk like human, they have green or blue skin and have a shell. The most defining feature of a kappa is that it has this big water droplet on there head. The kappa is known for being a little gremlin who lives under bridges and if you dare either put your feet over the bridges fence or decide to swim in the water this kappa will try to drown you. Japan’s yo-kai is much more graphic then monsters from the west since Japan decides to be a bit more detailed in how you die and the west decides for the monster to scare you. I don’t really believe ghosts. It can’t exist if you can’t sense it, you can’t see, smell, hear, taste or touch a ghost. So I believe they don’t exist.

R1 – Independent Child

The first time I ever used transit by myself was my first year at “Centennial Secondary High School.” Now that’s much older then any independent kid in Japan. However, since I am so much older I have more experience and knowledge with danger in everyday life. The first time I took transit by myself was when I was going to school. A very boring first time but it was my first so of course I should include it. If school is out of the equation then my memory says that the first time I went somewhere was to meet up with a friend in a mall.

Why Japanese?

I was inspired by my sister to learn Japanese because she was able to go to Japan with this ability. One day I’ll will go to Japan and have fun. I am also inspired by anime animation. I’m interested in doing animation in the future and if I do work for a company knowing Japanese would be useful just in case

My goal is to unconsciously be able to understand basic Japanese. It may be difficult but if I can understand little to no Chinese I should be able to understand some Japanese. Even if I am not able to it’s good to have some knowledge of how Japanese works.

My motivation to keep going is anime again because some anime out there don’t have subtitles which mean average English-speakers like me don’t have the ability to understand. Maybe if I keep learning Japanese I might even subtitle some anime and post it on the internet. Japanese is an incredibly useful language where I’m going in life.

Making and Sharing Reflection

I made the waffles by myself; my other teammates made the crepes. While we were cooking, I was asking my teammates if my waffles looked good and their reply was sort of because look at the photo it looks really crispy, but I think that’s because of the whole wheat flour that got added. In this lab I was forced to share my waffles with my teammates since I made so many, but I also got to try out the crepe, so it pretty much evened out in the end. The sweet and sourness of the blueberry sauce mixed with the maple syrup, the very airy whipped cream, and soft tender butter help this dish a whole lot. If it was just by itself with no topping it wouldn’t be very good since it would have no flavor. The texture of the waffles and crepes were nice, the crispy waffles need to the thin delicate crepes is a nice contrast.

When I need to work collaboratively with people I don’t know well, I make sure they know what they’re doing and ask if they need help so we don’t slack behind

While working in the kitchen, I help to build and extend understanding by asking the teacher question when needed or when I’m struggling to understand.

Core Competency Goals

☠️☠️☠️☠️☠️☠️☠️☠️☠️

One of the ways I ensure my group is clear on the common purpose is to make sure the understand what we’re doing by asking them is we understand what is going on

I make an effort to include missing voices/ perspectives by make everyone pay attention to the person’s voice who is not being heard. The way I would do this is to get everyone attention by doing “The Clap” and getting everyone’s attention

I know the group is working well together when I hear/ see and group of calm and collected people who only ask important question and after the question pure silence

Science Core Competency Self-Assessment

Communicating and Collaborating through my Acids and Bases Lab

My Artifact: My partner and I collaborating in the lab by mixing the acids and bases with the pH Indicators

My partner and I were doing our lab at a moderately normal pace telling each other what colour the liquid is one the chemical reaction happened, which is a type of communication. The teacher told us we had five minutes left so my partner and I both agreed to speed run the rest of the acids a bases. I took one liquid and my partner took the other and once we saw all the chemical reactions we wrote down what we saw, washed it off and did it again with the red/blue litmus paper, that is what I call collaboration at it’s finest.

About Me

My Bio

I was born in the year 2006, and I was told that an aunt of mine took care of me for 7 months because my mom wanted to focus on my older sister after that she put me and my sister into daycare because she was running a post office, I don’t remember stupid things about my childhood like how I got lost a whole lot of times and how my family went to “Science World” but I had to go to the washroom but we were told that there was no washroom so we had to cross the street which had a McDonald’s or what age I got my first iPad, it was at the age of 4. Few years after that and school start Kindergarten to grade 3 was simple but grade 4 was when everything went downhill since I had an iPad at the age of 4, I never did any work so homework hit like a truck because I would always play on it, so I never did any homework and that lead to parent conferences and schedules, but I would always ignore it and keep playing games and that went on for 4 years. The summer break of this year my mom wanted to improve my grades, so she made me do lots of work around the house and schoolwork which I’m pretty sure that was the end of that. If this paragraph was just supposed to be about stuff I like, then. My favourite color is green, my favourite food is pasta in general, my favourite animal are owls, my favourite subject is math, my favourite number is 7, and I like to play video games in my free time.
