My Debate Reflection

Some of my main topics I talked about throughout my debate were That drugs can help with stress/unwinding, how having drugs in your possession is legalized in Portugal, how the government would save money, we could sell “Clean drugs” and, how you are able to have up to 2.5grams of hard drugs in your possession. I think I learned a lot from this debate it taught me new information that I never knew before and being able to have these debates in my class also taught me how to be a better public speaker and how to prep better for debates and just for general assignments as well.

My Favorite Quote

Ultimately, even the government of British Columbia agrees with me because as of Jan. 31 of 2023 legalized for people who are 18 and older to have up to 2.5 grams of hard drugs including opioids, meth and MDMA, and much more in your possession and you will not be arrested as it has been decimalized. -Sienna L

Core Competency Reflection

Some of my strengths are preparing a head of time for my debate so when I have to present my debate I am fully prepared in all the categories. Some of my stretches are starting to work on my debate earlier because I think my debate could have been better if I had more time to prepare before presenting and if I was able to work more on my cross-questioning questions. One of the thing I am most proud of is my rebuttal and conclusion of my debate because I worked on it the most and put a lot of effort into working on it as well and my best research was put into my conclusion that’s why I think it was the best part of my debate.
