There are many examples within the literature that illustrate the character of Mooch. Mooch can be viewed as a complicated character. To start, Mooch is an alcoholic, “he is always in the bar drinking with Floyd”. Mooch spends loads of time sitting at the bar with a drink in his hand. Not having enough money to support himself because he spends every dime on liquor. When mooch decides to go to the bar he uses his partner’s money. “Mooch steals money from June’s money jar. This act makes Mooch an un-loyal partner towards June. Lastly, Mooch can be considered a character that has many problems. ‘Mooch has past trauma from the residential schools”. This is evident when Mooch expresses his visions in the residential schools. He talks about being physically, sexually, and psychologically abused. In conclusion, Mooch has many issues that he has trouble expressing in healthy ways.
I can tell what is important to me and explain my values. My family is very important to me and they teach me so much. They taught me that family is the most important thing.
I preserve with challenging tasks and take ownership of my goals and learning behavior. I did this by not procrastinating and taking my time on this family project. I put in my time and made it the best I can.
I work to inform myself about issues surrounding me. I did this in my family project by realizing I did not have the information I need to be able to get the mark I want, so I informed myself about what I was missing and went back and fixed it.
I demonstrate respectful, inclusive behavior. I demonstrated this in my family project by making sure the photos I choose to put in my “Mi Familia” was okay with the person. I also made sure everyone was in my PowerPoint so everyone felt included.
My Goal
I can explain when something is unfair and advocate for others. This is something I need to work on because I would want someone to do this to me if I was struggling. I have a hard time explaining myself sometimes, and I can’t stick up for myself, and especially for others. This is something that is important to me and I hope I can complete this goal.

Tell me where your inspiration for this problem came from. Why did you choose that particular image? Did you draw it yourself? If not, where did you get it from?
The inspiration for this project came from my uncle being a construction worker, and being around construction every day. I choose this picture because I feel that it shows the amount of work they put into their jobs every day. I did not draw this picture, I got it from google( construction worker – Bing images)
Where did you gather information from in order to make sure that the numbers you chose were realistic? How did you make sure that your calculations would work out?
I know that it seems like $50 an hour is a lot for construction workers, but some of the best construction workers can make that much. I am going for the most skilled ones and the ones that do the most work, that’s why they get paid 50$ an hour. I got my information from the internet and some family members. I made sure my calculations were correct, by doing the question I made.
I show that I value others feedback by applying their feedback to the next paper or assignment. I feel that others peoples feedback is really helpful. A goal I have is too apply all the feedback i get into my work because i believe that feedback can make my work better. I also feel like it would make the person that is giving the feedback feel better about themselves because you were actually listening to them and their feedback.
I make an effort to include missing voices. I feel like this would be a good goal to have because I would not want anyone to feel that way. The way i could complete this goal is include people in me and my friends conversation when I see they look like they have no one to talk to you in class. I would wang someone to include me into a conversation, if I was ever feeling not included.
I know the group is working well together when I see/hear everyone talking and contributing their thoughts. Find my previous school if I don’t see someone contributing their thoughts, I will ask them some questions to make them feel included. I think it’s a good to be able to tell when a group is working and one isn’t to make sure you’re getting your work done. That’s why it’s another one of my goals.
For my artifact, I had to communicate with my classmates about my teacher so I could write about them in my Mi Hororio. In this class, I learned about communication a lot because I have to practice speaking Spanish to my classmates. I use the skills I learned in my everyday life by just speaking. I use communication every day, so feeling comfortable talking is important.
Reflection
What did you learn…I have learned so much this year in Spanish, but some of the key things I have learned are how to study and how to work with new people I didn’t know. I learned how to tell time, how to say the days of the week, how to say numbers, and so much more, but those things may not stick. Something that will stay is how I communicated with my classmates. I have demonstrated communication by working with group members and talking to the people I sit beside.
At the beginning of the year, my weakest point was paragraph writing. I felt my grammar and spelling were not where they needed to be. I felt like my creativity was one of my strongest assets. I think all the feedback from teachers and my peers that I have received over the course of the year has paid off and I have improved.

I can reflect on my thinking… I can do this by sitting back and really thinking about what I said, and making sure it was the right this to say. I feel like this is something very important to do because you want to think before you speak, and you don’t want to hurt anyone’s feelings.
I think the key parts to public speaking are eye contact, loud voice, and good facial and body expressions. Eye contact is good because you don’t want to be looking down at your paper, you want to be looking at the audience. If you have a loud projectile voice everyone can hear you and it’s more interesting, instead of a super quiet speech and no one can hear you. Having good expressions when you are reading your speech can be important because you don’t want to be looking scared or nervous, you want to look ready and professional. When you are reading your speech and your head is down the whole time, you are shacking and rocking back and forth, and no one can hear you talking, that would not be a very good speech in my opinion. These are some tips that I use to help with my public speaking.

If there is disagreement within the group, I find it helpful to… express everyone’s ideas so we are all on the same page. If we can get on the same page we can hopefully come to a conclusion.
I make an effort to include missing voices/ perspectives by… Having everyone say one thing to collaborate to the assignment. I what to include everyone’s ideas and if someone is shy or does not want to talk we, could try to encourage them to speak what is on their mind. If it is a group project we need to work together and be able to agree on most things.
I know the group is working well together when I hear/ see… Everyone talking and or writing down ideas that we came up with as a group.
If I notice …, that’s a sign that my group needs help and we can get support by… If I notice that my group does not understand the assignment we can ask the teacher for help by raising our hand and asking the teacher to come over and help. When we get the help, it would be a lot easier to get the work done fast and efficiently.
My Goal
I can ask open-ended questions to gather information.… I have a hard time asking open-ended questions because I find it hard to find the answer so I would rather ask a question that is closer to the answer. Asking an open-ended question is something I would like to work on.

I do this by writing about my topic in a clear and organized way so when I read it over again I understand what I was thinking earlier. Doing this also helps if you are working in groups, so we can all share our ideas, and understand each other’s ideas.

If I take a lot of time on a project or paper, in the end, or when I am finished I am proud of myself because of all that time and effort I put into that. Justification
I believe this plan will work because I have included everyone’s schedule. I made is super clear for everyone to understand. I made everyone cook 1 or 2 days a week. parent A cooks 1 meal a week, Parent 2 cooks 2 meals a week because they got more time. Teen 1 cooks 1 meal a week and Teen 2 cooks 1 meal a week. Friday’s meal is the least favorite meal because teen 2 has to cook at least 1 a week but she is not that great at cooking so she makes something easy, and there is also teen 1 is not home on Friday so there is 1 less person to cook for. I hope this meal plan will work how I think it will. Monday will hopefully work well because the grilled cheese will be made and cooked by the time everyone gets home from school and work. Tuesday black beans will be cooked, it is a easy and fast recipe.
My group is me Skylar, Summer Kiefer, and Diana. I felt like my group worked well together. We got all the work we needed to get done on time, but still had fun. We shared our communication clearly and well. My group made sure everyone was mostly on task and not getting distracted, and if someone did then someone would remined them to get back on task so we could have fun after. Most if not all of my group members knew how to use technology. My group did a project that involved Edublog already so it was not very unfamiliar. We completed all of out task in class and on time. Overall I feel like my group did a great job.
Hi, I am Skylar. I am 13 years on and this is my first year in high school. I love playing sports, I play 2. My favorite sports to play are soccer and lacrosse. I have been playing soccer for 7 years al lacrosse for 9 years. I have a family of 5. mom and dad and two older sisters there are 19 and 21. I love animals. I got 2 dogs and 2 cats.
