I was able to work with someone on the black history timeline. We split up the work equally and got a decent mark on the timeline. This was easy to do because we weren’t actively discussing how we should do the timeline, we just put both of our work together to finish the assignment. I think it would be more difficult for me to work with someone if we both had to have input on the same things. I like to do things my way and I need to work on considering other people’s ideas.
Reflection
I could identify the geography of Grand Falls and how it impacts the city. I was able to find out about these impacts by researching various articles and using the city website. I could think of different problems people living there could experience then I came up with solutions for those problems. It helped by trying to picture myself in that same situation. Yes, I was satisfied with my project design and information. I would have asked more questions about the assignment to clarify what exactly the end product will look like.

During the researching process I learned how to find print sources from magazines and newspapers. I used the citation machine website to cite my resources. I also made sure there was an author listed in the articles. I found the online sources most helpful in researching my topic. It helped if the article used examples of real life situations to help understand the topic. I could use my time more wisely when researching next because I should have used all the time I was given to help make my speech better.
Following instructions can be very helpful in the future.
I chose the renowned scientist, astronomer and mathematician because I learned about him a bit during middle school and I find his work very interesting and cool. I learned that Kepler once discovered a star but later after he died scientists found out it was an exploding star and named it Kepler’s Supernova. Kepler was born on December 27th, 1571 in Weil Der Stadt, Germany, his biggest accomplishment was his 3 laws of planetary motion:
-Kepler’s First Law: The planets move in elliptical orbits with the sun at a focus.
-The second Law- an imaginary line joining a planet and the sun sweeps out an equal area of space in equal amounts of time.
-The Third Law, also referred to as the law of harmonies- It compares the orbital time period and radius of an orbit of any planet, to those of the other planets.
Johannes Kepler died on November 15th, 1630 in Regensburg, Gemany
