LIfe Saving Measures

I learned that you can get a noloxone kit from any pharmacy and that they are accessible by everyone. People dying from drug overdoses are the leading cause of deaths in BC. I also learned about how to identify if someone is overdosing by checking their skin tone and causing a pain reaction to see if they wake up. Knowing how to obtain a noloxone kit and how to use it could possibly save someone’s life in a serious situation. Even if I wasn’t comfortable using the kit it is important that I still have it on me because someone else might be able to use it and save someone’s life. It is advised that everyone should pick up a kit and have it in their car, backpack, or home in case of an emergency.

Critical and Reflective Thinking Competency Reflection

I can analyze evidence to make judgements. I can analyze the data that was given about the overdose deaths and make the decision to get a kit and encourage others to get a kit. These deaths are very preventable and it doesn’t take much effort to go down to your local pharmacy and grab one.
