Calculus 12 Core Competency Self- Reflection

This is one of my online booklets that I used to do questions in preparation for the derivatives test. Before both my first limits test, and this derivatives test i would go back and redo many of the in class questions for that unit on my own, to practice the different techniques. Memorization won’t help, because I need to understand the concept or method in order to be able to replicate it properly. Each day i do my homework for that day, and as my homework session goes on i begin to notice that there’s less of me guessing and more of me understanding what to do. Before testing periods, I get very stressed as I usually tend to think of the worst that could happen, but this is exactly why I study because I use it to ensure that I know exactly what I’m talking about and that I know all the material that is being taught. That is my coping mechanism, and it always works. This is something that I have learned about myself over the years, and obviously studying is something that I plan to do for all my future classes. but one thing that I find very annoying is that I do not have many time management skills and often times try to concentrate all my studying in one session. I would like to grow in this area because I feel like studying it all in one day is not a good idea because I’m more likely to forget everything, rather than remember it for longer. My limits and precal 12 knowledge is pretty much entirely gone, so I think i need to find a better way of studying that inolves continuous revision over several days prior the test so that It stays in my head for longer and that I’m not rushing to cram it in one day, it’s very intensive.
