The artifact I used demonstrates my ability to support my peers throughout labs. It is a photo of the sink, which I used to clean instruments we used to complete labs. It was a lot of hard work, and I feel very successful caring enough to help my peers.
I did many creative things with this project. This included colouring and cutting things up. 🙂
Our team didn’t work as efficiently as i’d hoped as we were rushing at the last minute. I was valuable to the team because I found all the materials and came up with an idea and my team helped construct it. I learned that I need to be more clear on if what I’m doing is alright.
There’s much to say about my experience doing the novel review. I found parts I enjoyed and parts I did not. I enjoyed the process of reading the book as it is very interesting. However, I struggled with finding the plot points as it is somewhat relative. I thought I would have found it more difficult to present in front of the class, but I was surprisingly more calm than I expected.
I remain open-minded as I explore viable options or alternative approaches, like when I was deciding on what to do for the initiating incident. I had to choose between two options, and I clearly thought about each option and made a decision based on the evidence. I compile and synthesize information to draw reasoned conclusions, such as when I wrote my reflections and quotes. I assembled a presentation where I stated my thoughts, as well as supported conclusions I drew from the book. I appreciate feedback on my presentation skills and prefer it to come in the form of constructive criticism. Something I need to work on is acquiring information about complex and specialized topics from various sources, synthesizing it, and presenting it with thoughtful analysis. I didn’t put as much thought into my presentation as I would have liked to, so I would like to keep developing the skill.

I knew the information I gathered was reliable because I checked other reliable websites to see if the information was the same. I chose my medium to display my learning by making sure it had enough points for all of my inventions, and also enough space. I am satisfied with the result if my design, however I wish it reminded people more of the industrial revolution. I would refine this assignment in the future by having more about how each machine works in the paragraphs.
