AMAZING CITY. Designed by Catherine and Mathew. This town demonstrated all of my team’s values. First was health, which is embodied as a hospital. This was chosen because in a Utopian city everyone should have access to healthcare. Next, the community is shown as people interacting together all over the town. Community is important for a good city so that its citizens can live in a connected area that allows them to build strong relationships with their peers. Education is also very important for the younger citizens of Amazing City, which is why many schools were provided. These schools are high quality are built to welcome a safe healthy learning environment. Becoming eco-friendly is also a great value in the city, which is shown by the vast number of greenspaces. The citizens of Amazing city also need homes and shelter which were provided by story-high apartments which are time-saving and efficient. For food, the city has many restaurants and grocery stores that produce all the people. Our Utopian city also presents many attractions such as a vibrant downtown area followed by a replica statue of the famous Louvre.
Reflection
For this project, I worked with Mathew and used City Creator to form a Utopian city displaying our values. We used each part of the town to contribute to the symbolization of our values. Despite having only one in class and working online for the rest, my group did exceptionally well. We split the work. I came up with ideas for values and names, while Mathew created the town and received feedback. Online communication was done by an online chat called Discord. My team worked nicely when providing ideas and feedback by suggesting and asking for responses/opinions. We all contributed to our project equally and showed good work ethic throughout. Decisions were made by sharing ideas and opinions. All ideas were respected and considered so my team did not face any problems. The final product was satisfactory. I believe that my team had the potential to present an even better if we had more time. Nonetheless, I enjoyed making this project and am proud of the results.
