CPR Reflection

Something I learned that I didn’t consider before was how actually important CPR is, and a key take away is how it is always good to be prepared. This unit connects to the nutrition unit because we talk about factors of heart attacks like exercise, and diet. Knowing that these can affect our chance of getting a heart attack, I will be more conscious about my choices.

Core Competency Reflection

I work with others to achieve a goal: I communicated with my partner during the CPR unit, and assisted him while he did the same for me pass the practical test.

I am kind to others, and support others when they need it: When someone gets hurt in gym, or if they do a good job I come to support them.

I persevere with challenging tasks and take ownership of my goals, learning behavior: When I messed up a pass during the volleyball unit, I took responsibility and accepted it as a challenge.

I demonstrate respectful, inclusive behaviour: During the volleyball unit, if someone messed up their pass I encouraged them and supported them. I also would try to pass the ball to other people.

One goal I have for myself moving forward: To advocate for myself more often.
