Media Fluency Reflection

Using the software reflection (Media Fluency)  
A. How was the ease of access in building your flipbook, despite this being the free and limited version of the software?
The software was easy and simple to figure out. Building my flipbook was pretty straightforward in general and I’ll probably use it again in the future.

B. Were you able to apply the skills you learned in the planning stages appropriately to a digital environment?
Doing a rough draft on paper was definitely helpful because it meant that the only issue would be navigating the FlipSnack app.

C. What were the sources you researched that made this an “authentic make-believe” American Revolution flipbook?
Most of the information in my flipbook was stuff that I learned in class but other than that my main source was probably History.com.

D. Is there other software online that could have done the job better? Did you use another software instead? Explain.  
I was contemplating using PowerPoint but I thought it would be too boring for this project so I decided to try something new and used FlipSnack. I don’t think any other online software that I know of could of done this better.

My Bio

My name is Iain, I am a Grade 9 student at Centennial Secondary School. There are a couple of things that I would especially like to share with you about me. My passion is Sports, it doesn’t matter what sport I’m playing, I’m going to be competitive and try my hardest. Another fact about me is that I have 5 (soon to be 6) siblings, 4 sisters and 1 brother. I am the oldest of 6.

This school year, I would like to get better at talking to new people and to be more confident in my conversations. Academics-wise, I would like to get better at being organized and tidy in class. I learn best by analyzing text or any sort of information and expressing what I learned by writing. I struggle with focusing on multiple things at once because my brain starts going all kinds of ways and I don’t usually do my best work.
