I can be an active listener and ask higher level questions.

When I am in a conversation with others, I sometimes find myself not knowing how to respond in a meaningful way. I want to be able to ask questions that contribute to the conversation and move it forward. In the future, I will try to be more mindful of how I respond in a conversation.

I take action to make my community better.

Last year, I started volunteering in our community more. This year I want to try to volunteer even more to help improve our community. I will try to actively look for different volunteer opportunities and make time for them.

I can use strategies to manage my emotions and be productive.

There are many times in class when I am bored and don’t want to do work. I want to be able to use my class time efficiently so that I can ask the teacher questions if I need assistance. I will try to improve this by setting aside any distractions and work in a good learning environment.
