My Digital Footprint

I couldn’t find any digital footprint of myself on the internet. I don’t use Facebook or Twitter, but I use Instagram. However, I don’t post at all, and I only use social media apps for talking to my friends. I thought my Instagram would show up but I don’t post, so I think that’s why my page doesn’t show up.

There are YouTubers and people on different social media pages with the same name as me that give information about themselves to anyone on the internet. I think I wouldn’t like it if people can see what I post and how I look like. I never really thought about how the things I post could go on the internet. I learned that I should be more careful of the things I do on the internet.

In Middle School, I learned that employers check your social media page and see what kind of person you are. If you do or post inappropriate things on the internet, employers wouldn’t like you that much and you’ll probably not get the job you want to get. If my family saw me do inappropriate things, they will be so mad and disappointed at me. I would get my phone taken away, and I wouldn’t be able to hang out with my friends. I would be so ashamed of myself. That is why I should be careful online.
