Socials Reflection (WWII Tech Assignment)

This project displayed my ability to research information I don’t know and find reliable sources to confirm my own knowledge.

This displays the critical thinking competency as I needed to use my knowledge of history to determine what sources were reliable or not.

I chose this projects because I like tanks and find their history to be interesting.

I learned of various reasons behind the development of certain tanks and exactly what problems they faced that were fixed or led to their demise.

Core Competency Reflection

I deliberately learn about things that interest me, and new ideas pop into my head. I actively chose the topic of tanks as I already enjoy learning about them and their history. This project became that much more pleasant as I was researching something I liked.

I can analyze evidence to make judgements. Some historical websites may be inaccurate or opinionated; especially with tanks. I needed to decide which sources were reliable or not.

I consider more than one way to proceed in an investigation. I used a number of sources to get my information to make sure my information was as accurate as possible.

I can tell the difference between facts and opinions. To be a good historian and researcher, this is paramount. I applied this skill to this project.
