Curricular Competency Reflection

i was able to develop my skills in writing during this assignment. I used poetic devices and intriguing words to catch the readers attention better. i also find that im now better at integrating quotes into my writing. things seem to flow a lot better. im proud of how far I’ve come in terms of my writing ability, and in terms of my public speaking skills.

Curricular competency reflection

A) Nothing specific made me choose the poem I did. I simply looked up famous poets, saw Walt Whitman and thought hey that sounds alright.

B) reciting the poem each day and tone mapping it helped me memorize the poem.

c)I found that reacting the poem in my head like I would a song helped me memorize the poem better then any of the other methods.
D)completing the paragraph write helped me achieve a deeper understanding of the poem which helped me memorize it.
