Curricular Competencies Reflection

Understanding Tricksters was a comprehension of our own perspective and viewpoint on how Tricksters teaches us about our lives. As well as what role did Tricksters play a role in the literature of First Peoples and the affects it can connect to. When learning about Tricksters, I looked at different features on where to acquire my knowledge. By writing, reading, and listening from different sources. I analyzed websites, podcasts, and videos on a variety of stories and what message it is demonstrating. I grew my reading comprehension due to comparing and contrasting different websites. Observing the information that was given and details to add to my new understanding.

Core Competencies Reflection

Thinking Core Competencies was reflected through creative and critical thinking. One strategy or activity that stimulates my imagination was an oral storytelling presentation that was told by two guests’ speakers. They shared historical events and the power of storytelling that can affect many people. Our class did an activity where we needed to have our eyes closed and imagine from our own fascination while the story was being told. I remain open minded as I explore viable options or alternative approaches, like when I encounter reading through texts/stories that have a deeper context from what’s being informed. As I think about how it may have affected the individual (s), including their thoughts, actions, and feelings.
