Chocolate Lava Cake

Making and Sharing Reflection

Currently my favourite recipe that we have made in this class so far has been the Chocolate Lava Cake we made just before the start of spring break. This recipe was great because of how quick and easy it was to make and, how good it tasted. A obstacle I had to overcome is that one of my groupmates were not there so I had to work on my own. Something I think that went well in the lab was how fast our group cleaned up. This is why the Lava Cake is one of my favourite recipe.

Core Competence

If there is disagreement within the group, I find it helpful to make sure everyone can gain the same idea and to make sure everyone is on the same.

As an active listener, I notice that I fidget a lot and to make sure I can stay focused in class.

I know the group is working well together when I hear everyone co-operating with each other and see everyone working together.

Making Oatmeal Chocolate Chip Cookies can be a very simple recipe and it can also be very easy to follow. When making these cookies they require a lot of equipment to make, although it is a simple recipe it requires you to know how to use things such as the electric mixer, the oven, and other basic kitchen skills as well.

Decide how and with whom to share finished product.

After I made the cookies I wanted to eat them right away as cookies are like my guilty pleasure. When they came out of the oven they had to sit and cool down. When I got home I shared the cookies with my some of my friends and my parents as well.

Core Competency Reflection

As an active listener, I notice that I fidget in class with something like a pencil or pen while staying on topic in class.

If the group is not productive, we can take a little brain break in order to get things going into the right direction.

When I need to work collaboratively with people I don’t know well, I like to try and communicate with my group mates to try finding their strengths and weakness and to also try to get to know them better.

One goal I have is to find new ways for collecting relevant information for specific tasks.
