Critical Thinking

I was able to demonstrate the Critical Thinking Core Competency during this lab by finding better ways to tie up the ends of the cell in the beginning stages of this lab. We had to fill up a membrane like tub with a starch solution and tie off the ends of the tubes using a string, I found that it was difficult to do this as the instructions said without creating any air bubbles. I used the resources provided to alter from the instructions to create a better seal to prevent the starch solution from leaking out and creating no air bubbles.

Personal Responsibility

I was able to demonstrate the Personal Responsibility Core Competency in this lab by performing my assigned tasks efficiently and productively to complete the goal at hand. I was able to create a correct model of what I was supposed to do with my partner and efficiently finish the lab on time. I successfully assembled the device to suspend the cell in the water and made sure everything was correct before putting it away for the day.
