The sun sets darkening the howling sky, the mountains and trees shadow its pastels as hostile and heavy wind blows my scarf in never ending waves as I sit on the rough spring grass. The ocean crashes against the haunting shore as if in a constant battles between water and land. Wolves howl and owls hoot to the freshly appearing moon as the deer and elk settle for rest in their land of the mountain where rock and grass meet in patches of grey and green. The moist ocean air caresses my lips and brushes my nose giving me a waft of floral scents and freshly cut grass, Numbing all other senses, And in that moment, for the first time in my life, I feel complete.
I learned about things such as the Maitee which I didn’t know about before this class. I also learned lots about indigenous myths and stories from the stories we read. I grew in my communication core competency by being able to communicate my ideas in a more clear and direct way.
