Evidence that I can acquire information about complex and specialized topics from various sources, synthesize it, and present it with thoughtful analysis can be found in my paragraph where I summarize the guy with information like his age, is date of death, his origin in music, and the period when he was popular.
Examples of where I communicate clearly and purposefully can be seen when I presented my paragraph where I was able to summarize it in English without practice.
I would like to work on my conjugation and understanding of imperfect verbs.
I am clear on the difference between simple “group work” and collaboration as evidenced by me helping disperse important information between the slides after we all made ours. For example, many slides had the same information, so we had to spread it across the slides as to not repeat ourselves.
I seek, develop and weigh options as demonstrated by where I helped disperse the information across the slides. For example, the wide impact section originally summarized the Report a second time but was edited to remove some minor information to be kept in the wide impact section, while a lot of unneeded information was cut out of the wide impact section.
I want to start building off of other people’s ideas to be a better collaborator.
An example of where I built upon someone else’s ideas is…
I want to improve this because I want to create better projects by incorporating more perspectives on what would make it better. I will attempt to do this in future projects.
This year has gone well. I made various cool graphs in a few math projects. I made quite the splendid English project on the book Homeland by Cory Doctorow which I’m proud of. I won a top student award in choir but you can’t see it in the picture below because I folded it up and put it in my pocket like an idiot.
Ways To Improve
Goals
Action Plans
Get over my irrational fear of authority figures
Ask my teachers for help more often
Improve studying habits
Ask for help with studying or take advice from people on how best to study.

I hate doing these so much
I think I have demonstrated good communication through the way I moved while performing. I also feel that I have improved the way I move to express certain emotions while performing.
My artifact is the mitosis stop motion video I made. It is a bit rough but I like the little organelle goblins I made. I feel that I have communicated the metaphase and anaphase well through the designs of my little organelle goblins and how they move in the video.
This year was pretty okay at first before i became a straight c- student in the second half, that wasn’t great. I really enjoyed my first year at Centennial despite having less than satisfactory grades because of the many new friends I made and it being a lot less tedious than middle school. One project I am quite proud of is my novel study project because I added multiple music tracks, some really good images and put probably the most effort I’ve ever put into any project, however it is a bit rough around the edges and it is a bit of a mess when it comes to my writing and transitions. Overall I have really enjoyed my first year at centennial and I look forward to the following years.
I like this website because it helps me site sources for my projects fast and efficiently. It was a huge help for projects like my novel study and this one.
These videos helped me better understand and visualize the process of mitosis while I was working on my stop motion animation project for science.

My Favorite Quote
“Be the trouble you want to see in the world, above nationalism, above so-called patriotism, above and beyond fear and make it count for the betterment of the planet. Legal and illegal are not the same as right and wrong – do what is right and never give up the fight.”-from the Afterword by Jacob Appelbaum featured in Homeland by Cory Doctorow, page 384.
I chose this quote because it was in the book I chose for my novel study. I also chose it like it’s message and how it connects to the story of the book.
