We chose how the characters looked by how they acted. For example we thought Lysander might be dirty blonde with green eyes because he was witty. We manly had to guess as it didn’t tell us much about what they looked like. We also picked the setting because of where they had mentioned where they where a couple times and looked at photos to see what felt right. We picked this music for the story because it almost sounded like it was from roman times or well gave us that feeling.
Core Competency Reflection
I can form new ideas to create new things. I can also build on the ideas of others. I did this by creating ideas and sharing them with my group or when one was shared I would give my feed back on it to try and build off of it .
I can show a sense of accomplishment and joy. I take pride in my work and myself. I did this by working hard on the movie so I could feel like I made a difference in it so I could take pride in the work and myself .
I advocate for myself. I did this for myself by speaking up if I didn’t understand something or if I didn’t agree with something I would speak up to try and get my point across.
Internet safety is important for many reasons. One of the big reasons especially on snapchat is not everyone is who they say they are. This is dangerous for everyone but manly younger kids who are gullible and impressionable it’s even worse if they have there location on for everyone. A way you can help with that is you can either turn it off or only have it on for your close friends and family only. A good thing about snapchat is it shows the person when you have screenshotted, or screen recorded something but there are ways to get around that you need to be careful about for example if someone is with a friend and the friend uses their phone to take a photo of it. You should also be careful with adding your number to your account because then anyone who has you in their contacts could easily find your accounts. Another big risk on social media is your account getting hacked. A good way to prevent this is changing your passwords every couple of months and not sharing them unless it’s with a parent. I think one of the biggest problems is if you post something it could be there forever even if you delete it, this could happen if someone copied it or screenshotted it and, on some platforms, if you post it, they then own the rights to that photo and can do what they want with the photo. In conclusion the internet can be a scary and dangerous place but it can also be used for good as long as you know how to use it properly.
Personal/Social Competency Reflection
I know that my digital footprint can have both positive and negative consequences, including making it harder to get jobs in the future so I adjust my actions to make sure what I post is appropriate for future employers to see.
Some of my preferred strategies for maintaining a healthy, balanced online presence include making sure I keep parts of my life online and making sure I’m not on social media a lot to be overwhelmed by toxic comments and posts.
Some long term goals with my digital spaces include to gain a following on my sfx account and my plan to achieve them is to keep posting on it and for my friends and I to tell people about it as in the future it could help me get jobs.
