Communicating and Collaborating

Leadership Quality:

One leadership quality that I have is organization, in Cent Helping Youth it is important to stay organized so everyone is aware with what is going on and can keep track. Specifically I help organize our Instagram posts topics and our meetings/documents that we need to keep safe. That way Cent Helping Youth can be trustworthy and efficient.

Leadership Skill:

A skill that I have is motivation, sometimes there are members that doubt our plan and don’t know if it’ll work. I try to look at the positive side and tell them the pros so they can have more faith. Whenever people in my group do good things I try my best to give them the recognition they deserve and give them feedback when needed so as a group we can grow together,

Leadership Quality to work on:

A quality I could work on is my vision for the future of Cent Helping Youth, I find it hard to predict since it’s unknown and not certain. The future for Cent Helping Youth could go so many ways that I find it hard to explain it. When it comes to smaller visions like predicting how our fundraisers will go I find it easier but I still struggle communicating it.

Leadership skill to work on:

One skill that I need to work on is my decision making, sometimes we have many good ideas and it’s hard for me to choose one, and if we do decide on an idea I think about what the others may have been like and doubting the decision. I need to be more confident in my decision making and making sure I take the time to go through every decision by researching or communicating.

I can work with others to achieve a goal.

Cent Helping Youth has 7 members so communication is key to have a successful group. When we plan fundraisers or projects we all have to work together and share our ideas, and problem solve together. For example, last year when we were planning an iced coffee sale there were many factors that we never thought about, it took us many weeks to plan the fundraiser out. Our goal was to raise at least $250 and we raised over $300 which was over our goal, because we took all the time planning and organizing our fundraiser was successful and we completed a goal together.
