Creating a Positive Digital Footprint
- Think before sharing. When you post something, it will stay on the internet forever. Always think about what you’re posting before you post it.
2. Make sure to have the right settings. If you have it on the wrong privacy settings, you might have unwanted people viewing your posts.
3. Don’t share too often. Oversharing is very bad because posting every hour can be unhealthy. limit yourself so you don’t post too much
4. Be care when posting to public. Posting to public can be very scary because you don’t know who will see them, and what they will do with it.
5. Delete tick tock. WHY would you ever use tick tock? a]All of the stuff that’s there is just painful to look at. Tick tock is the most unfunny place on the internet. It also sends all your data to China. everything you do on tick tock is designed to get you, and your info hooked. On your first tick tock, it is designed so that you will always get TONS of likes even if you post about your dying grandpa. Receiving likes triggers a dopamine release in your brain and you’ll end up wanting more. tick tock is more addictive than heroin; that is a real statistic. The only way to stay safe is just to delete the app or never get it.

Personal/SocialCompetency Reflection
My online support network is helpful to me because it helps me connect with my friends who I can’t see because of the pandemic.
Some of my preferred strategies for maintaining a healthy, balanced online presence include not using social media. I don’t have any facebook, twitter, tick tock or any social media accounts.
Some of the ways I work to build and maintain online relationships are not posting anything about other people online without their permission. I only chat in private groups because posting publicly is bad.
