Teriyaki Chicken Stir Fry

My stir fry was from scratch and no recipe. I took peppers, broccoli and carrots, with chicken to make my dish. The chicken is seasoned with salt and pepper and the sauce is based with a little bit of chicken broth, the main ingredients in it are teriyaki and soya sauce a long with honey, all with rice. The smell was delicious as it hit the pan it sizzled and when I tasted the food it was sweet but salty, the chicken was nice, cooked and flaky. If I make this again, I want to cut the veggies and chicken smaller and more bite size. When it was time to add the sauce my pot got stuck to the burner but my mom managed to get it and I lifted the pan so the food wouldn’t burn. I am really proud of myself that the chicken and the veggies were nice and fully cooked through, it worried me because the veggies were big and there is no exception for raw meat. The flavor also turned out great, this was fun and a good experience, just cooking comfortably in my kitchen and knowing what to do and not being afraid.

Most Memorable Food Experience

Homemade Brownies

My most memorable food experience I’v had was making brownies with my sister kirsty. One night at home she and I were craving sweets and we didn’t have all the ingredients, so we had to work with what we had. The things we didn’t have, to follow the recipe online was vanilla and chocolate chips. The substitutes we used was maple syrup a long with natural coco powder. We both decided to just wing it, we made mistakes including putting in too much coco powder and by we I mean me. But even though I messed up we made it work. we didn’t own a proper pan for the treats so muffin shaped brownies had to work. We popped them in the oven and waited for them to rise. When we took them out we checked to make sure they weren’t under cooked, and once we knew, we both took a bite. The flavor was strong but still yummy enough to eat a ton of. The crispy edges were just right and the smell was overwhelming with chocolaty goodness, They were fluffy in my hands and when torn apart the spongy sound it made was odd but nice. Overall they were delicious and gone within a few days.
