This unit has helped me learn about irony, satire, and allusions by giving me examples of them in The Simpsons. The show helped me understand irony when it showed Flanders throw Homer through the window of the burning home onto the bed away from the fire. But he bounces back in, which was an example of dramatic irony. The example that helped me understand satire was when it was shown that the Springfield police department was very stupid because they had arrested the wrong person for the reason that they had the same hair style as the robber. To help me understand allusions the show had made a knockoff versions of Tom and Jerry with Itchy and Scratchy show. The show was a clear copy of Tom and Jerry which was a well known television show.

Also I had removed parts of my essay because the more compact the information is the better it was. Another time I had improved my work my work due to the criteria was when I added more to my essay due to it being to short and was not meeting the requirements and expectations.
