3: Ideation

During the ideation phase we will be spending time brainstorming as many ideas as possible. The goal will be to generate as may unique solutions as we can. Brainstorming under the correct conditions provides us the opportunity to think freely without constraints. It is only after all our thoughts have been collected, that we will go through a process of refining.

3-1 Generate Idea

During the idea generation stage of ideation we will be running through a brainstorming activity as a group. Below are some handouts that will help guide us through the process.

3-2 Refine Ideas

in the previous activity we had been consciously avoiding any constraints or realities regarding our ideas. This has hopefully allowed a wide variety of thoughts to be collected. The next step will be to go through our collected thoughts and do a “reality Check”. After we spend time refining we will arrive at a collection of ideas that we can use going forward.
