Breakfast at home

For my breakfast home lab i cooked for my mom & sister : i did broccoli, red pepper, cheese omlettes with hash browns & a mixed berry smothie. I started by cutting up the potatoes & putting them into a frying pan on low heat, then i cut up the red peppers, broccoli & grated the cheese. I mixed an egg with a spoon of milk, put it into a different frying pan & put the red peppers, broccoli & covered it with cheese and flipped it onto one side. I then repeated that 2 more times while suring the hash browns. I plated everything then put a frozen berry mix in the bender with some milk and made smoothies to go with our meal.

Hash

Use whatever you have in your fridge, put it into a hash. So i had potatoes, turnips, spinich, onions, eggs, cheese. Start by cutting up your potatoes & turnips into cubes, onions diced, spinich into rolls. Put a frying pan on low with some olive oil & onions. Then fill a medium pot half way with water & put the potatoes & turnips into it when it boils, when they are tender to a fork drain then and put then into the frying pan. When the potatoes are lightly golden make two holes & put eggs in the pan then cheese on top, put into oven for 2 minutes. let cool and leftover hash.

Pineapple Delight

people who have a sweet tooth would love this desirt. Pre heat oven to 325. Grab a 8×8 baking pan, put parchment paper in it then fill the bottom with chrushed gram crackers & melted butter, put in oven for 10 min then cool it. Mix soften butter, eggs, vanilla and powdered sugar and put on top of the crust, bake another 15 min. let cool while you make the whip cream, fold pineapples into the whip cream. spread it on top & let it cool for 2 hour then you got a pineapple delight.

Mexican Rice

Start this mexican rice by making rice & cutting up the red peppers, onions, tomatoes & garlic. Get a frying pan, add a little bit of oil then fry the onions. when they are translucent add the garlic, red peppers until kinda soft.add the black beans & corn then add the cooked rice, tomatoes & some water. cook until water reduces add your spices & lime. put into a bowl a you’re done.

Veggie Frittata

Cut up potatos, baby mushrooms, green onion, red & orange pepper, broccolli & garlic. Get a cast iron and fry all all the veggies, while they are cooking grate the cheese and put them on top of the veggies. make two holes for the eggs, after you add the eggs put in oven for 3 minutes. enjoy you veggie frittata.

crepes

we designed our own crepes, me and my partner made chocolate ones with a raspbarry & cheese cake filling. we combinded the dry ingedeants in one boul & in a liquad measure, the wet ingreadeants then we mixed them together with a wisk. when the crepes were done we added whipcream & the reaspbarries to the crepes and boom they were perfect.

Shakshuka with feta

you start by picking which veggies you would like in it, then you cut them all up like onion, pepers, tomatos, spinich, brocolli. Cook the onions pepers first then the rest & add tomato sauce. Make two holes in the pan for the eggs, put a lid on top and let them cook for about 3 minutes. take the lid off add some feta let it melt a bit & you’ve got a great dinner

Bread

To make bread, it’s a two day process. on day 1 you mix flour, yeast, salt into a bowl with warm water until it’s a dough. Put plastic wrap over the bowl with a small hole in it, then put it in the fridge overnight. Day 2 knead the dough 10 times and form it into a ball. Put in casserole dish and in the oven for 20 minutes with lid on, remove lid then bake for another 12 minutes. remove from oven and enjoy.

Breakfast Sandwich

we designed our own breakfast sandwich, in mine i put spinach, jack cheese, bacon & made the scone bread. once the scones were golden brown, i took them out of the oven and put them on a plate. I cooked the bacon until almost crispy. i then put the spinach on the scone & added the bacon. my sandwich was done and tasted really good.

Eggs

yes everyone knows what an egg is and today we had to cook one in a way we haven’t before, I made my egg fried because I’ve made scrambled and sunny side up before. It only took about 2 minutes to cook once i put the egg in the frying pan and cover the top with a lid. This was easy and i wouldn’t mind making the egg this way again.
