My Digital Photobook

The artifact that I am writing about is the Digital Photobook assignment. This assignment was about choosing a topic to talk about, to showcase your presentation and communication skills, while using your Microsoft Word abilities to demonstrate the skills that you’ve learned. The theme that I chose for this project was a summer vacation. In this project, I communicate purposefully, using forms and strategies I have practiced. I did this by communicating about a topic I know and understand well, and shared my experience while advising others so that they would be informed of what to expect in my topic. I also gathered a lot of information which helped me be successful in this project. A challenge that I encountered when working through the communication core competency was keeping eye contact with the audience while presenting. I tend to forget to use eye contact and stare at my phone while reading my notes, which is something I need to work on in this core competency. This skill is important for everyday life because it can be used to help others understand you when you are communicating to them, and that you are communicating the right way.
