Explanation/brief history: It’s 1802, Lassox is a thriving and evolving town located in Northern England. Nickay Incorporated is a reasonably wealthy company constantly growing along side with the town. The people working in the factories make about 10 cents each week, 15 cents if they’re excelling. Lassox is one of the better factory towns, it’s not as harsh and punishing as other towns.

Media Fluency Reflection

The town was pretty easy to build. I spent a good amount of time adding detail and creativity into my town. I used Minecraft to create my town. I brain stormed and sketched out on paper what I wanted my town to contain and look like, brainstorming and sketching made it easier to layout where I wanted buildings to go once I started creating my town.I used what I learned in my socials class and put that information into my town to make it similar to towns during the industrial revolution. I don’t think there’s better software that could’ve been used. Minecraft if very known and most kids have it, it’s also very easy to use and a great way to use your creativity. Your options are endless in Minecraft and that’s what makes it such a great tool for this project.
