Creating a Positive Digital Footprint
My infographic is about what a digital footprint is, why it is important and how to create a positive one. I made this design by using the website Canva. I used Canva because it is easy to use and has many templates I can choose from.

Personal/Social Competency Reflection
My values around being kind to others inform my decisions about how I should respond to certain comments or posts. I avoid confrontations as I know it will end up affecting my mood and it’s important to remember that there is someone with feelings behind each screen. I do my best to create a positive digital footprint because I am aware of the effect it may have on my future.
Some of my preferred strategies for maintaining a healthy, balanced online presence include being kind, helpful and understanding. I realize that this is a way of maintaining a positive digital footprint and saying things without thinking beforehand can lead to negative consequences in the future.
I think my experiences as a digital citizen, such as using social media, online games and the web influenced my choice of interests because it has and still does help me discover the things I like to do. The internet strongly influences me as a person. Much of my entertainment comes from sites like YouTube, and when I need help, I can research anything on Google. Many aspects of my life would be different if I didn’t use the internet.
