My Artifact: Course Planning Website

I chose the Course Planning Website as my artifact for my Tech Leadership 11 class. I would like to reflect on the Communication Core Competency and the following Curricular Competencies.

  • Work collaboratively with others in a leadership group in order to positively influence the Centennial community
  • Demonstrate effective time management strategies
  • Utilize critical thinking skills to plan and conduct research, manage projects, solve problems, and make informed decisions using appropriate digital tools and resources

The Centennial Course Planning website was a huge collaboration of Tech Leaders working on creating a website in a limited amount of time. We first started off by talking about how we wanted the website to look and once we had a clear vision of the website, we created pages or used templates for different sections. We divided up our roles and tasks and we connected often to update each other on our progress or to ask for help. We were able to communicate our thoughts and questions efficiently by talking about them using our group chat. Each of us helped out as much as we could with different tasks because we had a short deadline so it was hard for us to just work on our specific tasks. One thing we could’ve improved is to create a feature where students can simply submit their entire course selections on the course planning website which may be a possibility for next year.
