Fitness & Conditioning 11/12 Reflection

My Artifact

Fitness & Conditioning Reflection

Fitness & Conditioning as well as physical activity, plays a big role in my life for mental health and just staying active. During the beginning of the pandemic in 2020, when everything shut down I fell into this hole with ten foot high walls. I did not know what to do, and since I couldn’t really do anything, I wasn’t able to figure out who I was. Fitness and Conditioning is a class for me to be able to feel good after I am done a work out and not have to worry about if I am not doing enough. The influence physical activity has on me is that I will most definitely need it for the rest of my life and this class is a good learning experience for me to see what my capabilities are and how I can improve.

Core Competence Reflection

  • I work with others to achieve a goal.

I have demonstrated this core competence by working with my partner side by side, pushing each other so we can both reach our goal of working hard and growing in areas we need work on.

  • I participate in activities that support my well-being and take responsibility for my well-being.

I have demonstrated this core competence by participating in class activities and playing with my schools field lacrosse team.

  • I find it easy to be part of a group.

I have demonstrated this core competence by being able to talk to anyone and being able to communicate in a respectful manner,

  • I give, receive, and act on feedback to progress in my goals.

I have demonstrated this core competence by using my teacher’s instructions and advice on proper technique and form so I can progress in the areas I am focused on.

This project and presentation helped me develop and demonstrate Core Competencies through interacting with others and being a listener when the teacher is talking. I always take pride in what I and accomplished and look forward into what I can use this for in the future.
