Personal Awareness and Responsibility
This semester, I managed my well being by ensuring that I I took ownership of my goals, learning, and behaviour by acting on what is best, over time, in terms of my goals and aspirations.
I completed work for my Pre-Calculus 12 class by having a timely schedule that allowed me to watch the lesson videos and complete work in my workbook. This schedule allowed me to manage my stress, as the structure that it provided helped to lessen the feeling of being overwhelmed with work from my other classes. I would set a goal each day for the amount of work that I wanted to accomplish in my workbook and make a study plan before each test. I have learned that I take a bit more time to process information, so it was helpful for me to watch each video lesson multiple times in order to achieve a full understanding of the concepts taught. This will be extremely helpful for post secondary, as knowing these details about myself and how I learn best will impact the way that I study, especially in my university level math courses. I have also learned that processing information is easier when I write that information down, so I took notes while watching the video lessons. These notes helped to solidify the concepts learned in my mind. Pictured above is one page of my notes from the trigonometry unit.
