My three takeaways from the Naloxhome presentation were don’t do drugs, don’t do drugs without knowing what’s inside them, and always keep a naloxone kit on you. I already knew about the opioid crisis that was going on in Vancouver, but I didn’t know how bad it was. I also knew about naloxone and what it was but I didn’t know there was an injectable type. So, I’m glad I learned what to do in a situation that requires you to use it. It was a good learning experience to learn more about something I thought I knew enough about. It opened my eyes to what is happening in my community.
