While working on the psychology research assignment I used collaboration and communication in several different ways. My group and I discussed our hypothesis and agreed on one we all believed was fitting, and we all worked collectively by everyone of us equally contributing to our assignment. I also collaborated with the rest of my peers in the class through the survey and getting them to respond to our thought out questions needed for our assignment.
In this assignment I communicated by showing my understanding in my writing by providing evidence and backing up my points by referencing words/notes from the textbook. I communicated my understanding by putting definitions I read into my own words. My strategy for collecting relevant information for specific tasks include reading all the information on a topic and filtering out key terms, and using those key terms to write into my notes. Examples of where I communicate clearly and purposely can be seen in part B, as I relate two paired terms to one another in a easy way for the teacher to read and understand, and once again I provide evidence from the textbook.

I first introduce myself to start the conversation, ask them if they understand what we’re doing and if they don’t I explain to them.
A core competency that I demonstrated during the breaking stereotypes assignment was communication. ‘I can inquire into and present on topics of interest related to my studies’, I did this by choosing a specific stereotype that has affected me so it’s more valuable and I can relate to more and I researched it. I used a variety of different resources for my work and I quoted a source that relates back to my topic. I chose the stereotype that teenagers have an addiction to their phones/ social media because it interested me and I wanted to learn what made people believe that. I supported my topic sentence with evidence that was relevant, and I gave suggestions on ways you can help your teen limit their screen time.

Our Values:
Health- We put health as a main value in our city because we want our city and citizens to stay healthy. We included farms and farmers markets because we want our food to be fresh and grown in our city. We made a gym for a place for our citizens to stay healthy and in shape . And of course, a hospital to make sure our citizens get the proper medical treatment needed.
Happiness- In Nina Central City, we chose to incorporate parks, fields and pools because we want the people to be joyful and have a fun environment during their leisure time.
Family- Having family as a value is important to us and our city because we want our citizens to value family as much as we do. We put houses into the section of “family”, because in your house its usually the place you spend the most time with your family. We included an orphanage so that every child has a warm place to stay, with workers we make sure that love them.
Safety- Safety is the most important value in our city. We value safety a lot because our people need to be safe and live, play and enjoy our city while feeling safe. We have police in our city to protect our citizens and their homes and making sure their abiding the law. The firefighters stop fires and ambulances rescue people, but they both risk their lives during their jobs which make having them in our community a big contribution.
Symbolic colours- We chose to make our city colourful because we want our city to stand out. And we made our farmers market and our houses rainbow because we want everyone to feel welcomed no matter who they are or who they identify as.
Communication Reflection
The project is about using you and your partners ideas to design a city including the values that you find most important to you and the city you created. We used Minecraft to design our city, and chose it because we thought it would best suit our ideas we had planned out. My partner and I had great communication throughout working on this project. We both contributed our ideas and built onto each others thinking. We made sure that we both had equal parts into creating our city. One day my partner would work on designing the city and I would work on the values, and vice versa. We worked great as a small group and spent our time wisely, planning and creating our desired city. Asia and I agreed on almost everything while working so we didn’t have to deal with sorting out any problems. Asia and I were both satisfied with our final product and put our best effort into making the city look great!
