Carrot Cake
Making and Sharing Reflection
Making
For this recipe I identified the proper measurements for all on my own to create this cake. This lab let me demonstrate my baking/cooking skills all on my own, which I loved because it gives me more responsibility for me to make this cake turn they way its suppose to turn out. the progress for me was kind of stressful in a good way because I had to get my cake in the same time as my groups and they were finished before me.
Sharing
Overall the finished product was amazing and wonderful, and it turned out the way I wanted it to turn out which made me stress about it less. The process for choosing what I wanted in my cake was easy this time because I was making it by myself and I had the choice to put apple or pineapple and I chose pineapple and coconut and that was a great decision for me. Me and my group worked well together in the lab they helped me with little things back and forth.
Core Competency Reflection
my strategies for collecting relevant information for specific tasks include me staring the ingredients that is not in our kitchen every time I’m ingredient person. And writing down the equipment I need for both sections in ingredient and unit.
if there is disagreement within the group, I find it helpful to make a plan on how we can make everyone feel comfortable about what they are making and eating and checking in with my teacher if it’s okay.
I show others that they truly value their contributions by complementing something they did on their own. And giving them extra help if they are doing harder work than me.
I know the group is working well together when I see everyone is doing good on their own part when we had to make several different things in one day. And everything that we planned ahead of time is actually going well, especially with cleaning after we’re done baking/cooking.
