Critical and Reflective Thinking

1 Leadership Quality I possess is responsiveness. CHY has a group chat and I’m always one of the first people replying to it. I always make sure what needs to be done gets done and communicate effectivily with members in my leadership group.

1 Leadership Skill I possess is delegation. I am really good at this, probably because I’m the oldest sibling of 3. In projects I always make sure everyone has a fair role and that it match’s with their strengths. I also make sure that we try and keep to the point, to get what we need done.

1 Leadership Quality I would like to develop by the end of the course is creativity. I can have a hard time putting together something like a post so its visually appealing. For example I made a Instagram post because we decided that everyone should make one and my group said mine was bad so someone re-designed it…

1 Leadership Skill I would like to develop by the end of the course is decision making. I am really indecisive and would like to improve upon this.  

As demonstrated through volunteering, group activities and my cultural connections project I can work with others to achieve a goal. I am always communicating and collaborating with other in leadership students which is a good way to achieve a goal. In Cent Helping Youth the only way to achieve our goal is by working together. Last year we surpassed our goal and raised about $1,200 for Covenant House and we couldn’t have done it without working together to make sure fundraises go smoothly.
