CPR Reflection
a) What was something you learned that you didn’t know or consider before?
Something I learned was how being able to take action when its needed is very important and could help to save someone’s life and all i need to remember is that (I’ve been trained i can do this)
b) What is a key takeaway from the Theory or Practical CPR unit
For me it would be the denial or fear someone might feel when they could be a potential victim of a heart attack or stroke which is bad since if you are hiding it i can be trouble later on if other people don’t know or you don’t talk to a doctor about it.
c) How does this unit connect to the nutrition unit learned previously?
It connects since the nutrition unit showed us what to eat to have a higher chance of avoiding a heart attack or stroke with good food sources and proper diets along with exercise.
Core Competency Reflection
For the Core competency reflection i chose 3 that highlight me the most
When I need to work collaboratively with people I don’t know well, I try to be as open and friendly as possible so that we can work together to complete the common goal or task that we have to do.
I can describe how learning about CPR relates to my life, it relates to my life since my grandpa has a history of having heart attacks and in the case that he needs help i can be there to help him and hopefully save his life thanks to this lesson we did on CPR.
One of the ways I can see using this learning to help others is to pass it onto future generations of family i know so that they can learn to save someone’s life if they need it or to physically save someone when they are having a heart attack.
