We have started working on the big american timelines. Remember to site your sources and comment and reflect on your choices. Still to come a big lecture on the path to revoluton and a break down of the Declaration of Independence. We did a battles lecture, and vocab words from the textbook.

I am hoping this link works. Log into it. It is a Digital book our Librarian Mr Salambier got me at the start of the year. It is like a mini version of our text book? Good hyper links and expands into more knowledge, but overall it is less academic then our “World History” book. I will be using it more as the year goes on. Top link goes to library, you need to scroll down to Interactive Library and select “THE FIRST CIVILIZATIONS” near the bottom. I will walk you through this at some point (when it is essential). Today we watched a movie from the series “A Story of us” it was episode 2: Revolution. It walks us through some major events in the American War of Independence. Tomorrow Mr Basso will be in the room talking about program options for the timeline. Monday will be a “Battles” Lecture.
Introduced a power point overview of Egypt. We did Geography, Dynasty / Kingdoms names. Tomorrow we do Architecture, society, and beliefs.

What was the American revolution about? Taxes? Leadership? Freedom? Equaity? Maybe it was only a war for independence. You may think it was the start of a world wide revolution of freedom and rights. The answer is a bit of everything. Colonists were tired of British Rule and the winds of change were growing. But change was happening. Man was ‘progressing’.
Today you are doing the first four terms in the chapter vocab. And coming up with a short Paragraph on the Royal Proclamation of 1763 on its significance and importance to the American Revolution.
Today Mr Basso came to class to discuss digitilal literacy and what you need to do for that credit. This is a timeline project of the American Revolution. You need to explain the events as well as add a picture. The key is being able to choose from different platforms (online programs / media used to create your own work) and communicate why you picked the platform yo did. It will be due in multiple weekends, we will attach a date to it next week. There is lots of learning to do between then and now. . ,
we watched an intro movie on Egypt. Its mostly about who discovered the societies and how the treasures have been dealt with. But a good intro to the long history of Egypt.
