What is a Digital Footprint?
A digital footprint is the information about a particular person that exists on the internet as the result of their online activity. It includes emails, social media, and much more, however, if you are online constantly your digital foot print will expand. Furthermore, through this knowledge you can prevent any leakage of your privacy.

The mistakes you have made in the past may affect your future. For instance, your job opportunities. You may be posting inappropriate stuff unintentionally potentially on “Spam Accounts,” We must be able to be conscious of our online information to create a more positive reputation.
Think Before You Post
As A.I technology becomes more advanced year after year it makes our digital footprints more vulnerable. Young teenagers tend to post more “inappropriate” videos or pictures, however, thinking before posting can save you from how you want to be viewed as a human being.
Use Social Media Safely
-To prevent leaks of your personal life turn your social media to private, blocking strangers that you don’t trust.
-Don’t Add too much detail in your bio
-Create a strong password; “password123” isn’t going to be enough
Personal/Social Competency Reflection
I make digital ethical choices such as, keeping my social media account private; restricting strangers I do not know in order too show information to a smaller group of people.
I know that my digital footprint can have both positive and negative consequences, including other people judging us based on what is shown online. Therefore, I don’t post anything that makes me look mean or like a bad person. So I adjust my actions too make sure I am seen as a positive person.
My strengths as a digital citizen include being able to find valuable and correct information on whatever I am working at the moment. This skill has helped me determine whether a website is reliable and safe and has brought me great success in big inquiry projects.
