About the concert
The year-end concert was basically the YEAR-END concert. It was the final performance of the Gr. 12s to perform for the centennial school. When I noticed that it was the final concert for the Gr. 12s, I noticed that next year that I AM graduating next year. But I’ll have to let that sink away for months.
“Story” of the progress of the year-end concert
The preparation for the year-end concert started with having a dress rehearsal for all the people in the band and choir. We went through the transitions for changing bands and choirs, moving music objects for the next performance group, and for the emcees to come in and out. The performance day came and we were all chatting and preparing for the performance. While many of us were preparing and waiting for the performance, the people who were NOT Gr. 12 reacted to the Gr. 12s wearing their fancy dress and many of us reacted with a shocking and surprised reaction. I on the other hand was, of course, surprised but the view was too sexy to see. After waiting for the performance time to hit my choir friends and I went to the seats to see the performance. We’ve all seen Katrina’s solo and hyped her after her performance. After one performance our vocal jazz group came to sing next; our, “Fields of Gold” had good reverb to sing with (credit to Ms. Zraly for the idea AND Edward for remembering what to do). After the vocal jazz and “Larger than Life” performance we left for intermission. After intermission, our concert choir group performed and I think it was fun and went well. After the concert choir performance, I went to the choir room with the “When you believe” people and prepared for our turn to perform. After performing “When You Believe” we all went to our seats and went through the awards. I got myself and Top student in Vocal Jazz 11; even if I got an award, I couldn’t have got it if it wasn’t for everyone in the choir and vocal jazz class. And I went home after. It was a good performance overall.
Personal Awareness & Responsibility core competency
When I need to boost my or re-focus, I just think of just “winging” the show(s) whenever I’m just not feeling in the performance mood. But my mood becomes happy or “in the mood of the song” DURING the performance(s). Performing is fun I say, good stuff
