For my AP Calculus class, I wanted to reflect on the Communication Core Competency for the deductive logic partner presentation. Our assignment was to learn and create a lesson on our chosen math topic and to present it to the class along with an in-class activity. We decided to play a game of jeopardy as our activity because we wanted a fun and interactive activity that would get everyone in our class excited. We also brought a prize for the winners to motivate the students in our class to apply what they learned from our presentation. One thing that we could’ve improved on is that our presentation was content heavy and it may have been better if we limited the amount of information presented and instead showed more examples. We also presented by using a Word document and it might have been better if there were less writing and information on the board. However, we did a good job of simplifying and explaining the information we had learned.
