My Digital Footprint

When I searched my name up on google, I found pictures of myself playing soccer on the Centennial soccer team and pictures of me and my teammates on my club soccer team. That was all I saw when I searched up my name. This means I am cautious of sharing information online. My digital footprint is very clean with only two pictures of myself on google, I don’t have anything I wouldn’t want others seeing.

If I were to apply for a job, the company would see that I have played soccer for a very long time. It could be good for me because they will think I don’t quit easily and that I work to accomplish things I want to achieve. If a family member were to search me up, they would see my love for soccer and where I play.

To keep my digital footprint appropriate and safe, I will not post anything that I think twice on, create passwords that only myself would know and remember, and to not share my private information to others.

Keeping your digital footprint as clean as it can be is something you should think about before having a social media account or getting a picture taken of yourself. If there is nothing you are concerned about of yourself on the internet, you should be fine.
