French 11 Movie Poster Edublog

Spirited Away Movie Poster

This is a poster that my partner and I made for French 11. We were originally going to do a Harry Potter movie for the poster but felt that it was too common or too easy to do, which is why we settled with Spirited Away. In my opinion, I think this was a much more interesting movie to cover, as not only is it animated, but it is also a Japanese movie as well. Trying to mix the two languages when saying their names was a little tricky, since there were times I did want to speak in a Japanese accent to say their name. Both my partner and I worked really hard on this, constantly communicating with each other outside of class and joining calls to figure out how we wanted to complete this project. Dividing the work between each other was a simple process, which made this project much easier to do since we had everything planned out already. Seeing the final product was amazing, but my only critique about the poster is how I did do some of the artsy stuff. Overall I’m proud of how it came out and I’m glad it was much better than I expected.

Core Competency Self-Assessment

Collaborating in CLE 10

My Resume

“In familiar situations, I cooperate with others for specific purposes.”

Throughout this project, we were required to look at other people’s resume and point out small mistakes and give them feedback on how to improve it. I demonstrated my skill by partnering with students who I wasn’t familiar with so that we would both succeed on this project. An obstacle I faced was communicating with my partner because I’ve never talked to them before, so trying to start a conversation was difficult. What I learned about collaborating was that communication is the most important aspect in order to get things done as a group.
