For this lab, I made risotto using a recipe from my Nonna Emma. The product standards for this recipe was perfectly cooked rice, because it has to absorb a certain amount of liquid or else it could be too dry or have too much liquid. My goal for this lab was to cook to the product standards, which I achieved and the risotto turned out perfectly. A challenge I faced while doing this lab was to remember to stir the rice frequently and add the right amount of liquid each time. For the liquid I used vegetable oil I had, and a chicken bouillon cube. I used fresh basil from my garden to garnish the dish as well. I gave this lab five stars because I had never made risotto before and it turned out perfect the first time I made it. It was delicious and I would definitely make this again for my family.
