About the Activity

For this project, I was placed in a debate group to argue the benefits of legalizing drugs. I researched the economic benefits of drug legalization and how it can impact our society. I also helped present the main points of our arguments, the rebuttal and the closing statement. By working together and sharing information, we were able to create an effective argument and successfully complete the assignment. I am proud of the work I have completed during this project and am proud of the work completed by the rest of my group.

I chose this competency because when presenting our debate, I was effectively able to convey my argument to the class and present my rebuttal in a clear and organized manner.

I chose this competency because while working on this debate, we researched possible points the opposing team would present and researched possible counter-arguments.

Goal

I can ask open-ended questions to gather information.

My goal is to ask more open-ended questions to gather information. I would like to work on this because I believe it will greatly improve my quality of work by looking into more posible contributing factors to my research. By looking into more questions I have, I can create a more well-developed projects and answer potential questions the reader/listener may have regarding my research.
