CPR Reflection

I hadn’t realized how much energy it took to perform CPR, and if not for this course i wouldn’t know anything about heart attacks or cardiac arrest, nor would i have considered learning it. My main takeaway from this unit was how important it is to learn CPR and other basic types of First Aid, if schools continue to train their students how to perform CPR then the chances of more lives being saved will climb, and i think that’s great. This unit relates to the nutrition unit because of the relation between healthy eating and heart attacks, your chances of heart disease are much lesser if you maintain a healthy diet.

Core Competency Reflection

I ask and respond to questions to be an active, supportive listener.

I actively listen and respond to questions from the teacher during class, i demonstrate this in all my classes.

I work with others to achieve a goal.

During volleyball I worked with my teammates to get the ball over the net frequently, I’ve also had to work with teammates in other PE activities.

I give, receive, and act on feedback to progress in my goals.

When given feedback and tips during volleyball i act on it to progress towards my goal of becoming better at the game we’re playing.

I can show a sense of accomplishment and joy. I take pride in my work and  myself.

I demonstrate this from time to time and take pride in the work I do well in. (such as tests or performing tasks/activities)
