Identity

My poem

“Who are you”, this is a general question everyone asks themselves sometimes as well as gets asked

There are infinite answers to this universal question

The answer often varies and changes and will definitely change depending on who you ask

Who you are depends on yourself, no one else

You are who you choose to be

Still this can be a very difficult question

I know I can choose who I want to be but

“Who do I want to be”

This is really the question people should be asking instead of “who are you”

I want to be the guy everyone thinks is friendly

I want to be the guy people look up to

I want to be the guy I would want my future kid to get raised by

Although this is who I want to be

Unfortunately no soul is perfect and I’m not always able to be the exact way I want to be

I am the person that tries to be who I want to be

And that is the happiest and best version of me

Core Competency reflection

I show others I value their contributions by making sure everyone In the group gets time to have a say and everyone’s point of you and suggestions are used in a helpful way

When I need to work collaboratively with people I don’t know well, I first of all try to get to know them on a basic level and then see what I can do to bring the group together In a productive way where no one is excluded.

When I need to boost my mood or refocus I take a quick break and try to realize the situation from a realistic stand point. A lot of the time I can let focus because I’m stressed so I find looking at the bigger picture calms me down fast and I end up getting the work done well.

Some things I do to stay mentally and physically healthy include  making sure I keep my body active and get outside. I also found for my mental health that the more I hang out with friends and don’t isolate myself the better my mental health feels. I also found eating a good amount of healthy or good foods helps me feel a lot better too
